Project Name Croc Commission

ClientThe Woolfsonian Gallery

Date 2014

Croc Commission

I was approached by a gallery to do a commission for a client. The client was very specific in what he wanted. His surname meant “Crocodile”, so, he wanted a crocodile painted for his home.

The gallery owner put visuals together and the client was happy with the image going forward, and so the painting began.

He wanted it done in oil’s, and it was to be a diptych (A diptych is any object with two flat plates attached at a hinge, in this case, two canvases). I also had a crazy deadline attached to this, from what I remember it was just under 2.5 months, and I still moved house in the middle of all of this.

I throughly enjoyed this piece, it was challenging and I learnt so much in the space of time I had to do it, I would have preferred to have more time, but the end result, was that the client was blown away and ecstatic at the final piece.

I love painting in oils and I love a challenge! If you are looking at getting a one of a kind painting done for your home, office, or as a gift, whatever that may be, I would love to hear from you and work together! Email me now for more information.

Thanks for being here!
